Is it normal to start being homosexual during puberty?

In a world where homosexuality was once (and still is in some parts) punishable by death, and people are finally just beginning to come out as who they are, you can expect this. The secret behind this is: There were this many homosexual people out and about all along, and it's now that many of them can finally be true to themselves in their lifetime. As society opens, people feel more comfortable coming out with who they really are.

Sure there's some out there who are experimenting and have unconsciously given themselves the label of bisexual or gay, but I wouldn't say many. Homosexuality is not a trend. The accurate word for this would be bi-curious or questioning.

And that's another thing-- the term "bi" could mean a number of things. Bisexual, biromantic, bi-curious, bi-gender, etc. Gender identity and sexual orientation are two completely separate things. Gender fluid simply means you conform to either both or neither sexes; male/female.

Just because you haven't seen your friends intensely date the same sex doesn't mean they're not bisexual. I'm assuming you're young and so are they, and no matter how LGBT friendly your community or high school is you know there's some sense of insecurity for anyone who steps out into the world with a same sex partner at hand. Also, it could just be they haven't found "the one" they want to date.

Maybe they're keeping it secret from others or haven't came out to their family. You can be bisexual and highly prefer the opposite sex too. There's probably many other reasons as to why they're not being with the same sex.

Honestly, unless you're part of LGBTQIA+ you never truly 100% understand it. Many people have asked me even as a teen, 'you're so young, just how do you know this is who you are?' (I am transsexual) - I was identified as having gender dysphoria at the age of SIX. It's best to keep an open mind.

I would rather be wrong about someone while having an open mind than be wrong because I decided to think I know someone better than they know themselves.

I think this is the result of two factors. The first being that it's finally clear for most people to come out with increasing understanding, and secondly that they are more noticeable when they come out. The overwhelming majority is still straight, but you don't notice it because it's considered "normal."

However, someone coming out as gay or bi is unexpected and thus gets a special place in your memory making it seem more prevalent.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
