Is it ok to take my Prius to a non-hybrid car mechanic?

I would not recommend doing this. Even something as simple as an oil change can cause a multitude of problems by someone who has no idea how to deal with a hybrid motor. I can say this because I am a former Prius owner who did just this.By thinking you are going to save money by going to some small garage instead of a Toyota Dealership maintenance center could cost you in the long run.

An honest mechanic (if there is such a thing) would tell you that he has no idea how to fix a hybrid motor and turn your business away. Even if the problem with your car is not the hybrid motor, I still wouldn’t take the chance.By having my oil changed at a Jiffy Lube, and having oil spilled all over my hybrid motor made my car completely stop running, having to get it towed, having to get a rental car etc. Don’t take the chance. Find a Toyota Dealership near you on Toyota.Com and take it to a certified technician.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
