Is it possible to RAISE the water level in the Toilet BOWL, NOT the TANK level? How can we do it as easily as possible?

The bowl water is way too low even if it is a 'water saver' in my opinion. It makes it difficult to clean efficiently. The tank level is almost too the top of the tank so that doesn't help.

It seems like It used to be easy to do this years ago but now, I can't. Can someone that has had this problem and gotten it fixed tell me what to do to fix mine? Are there any plumbers on AV that can give me 'simple instructions' and steps to correct this please?

Remember, it is the "Bowl water level" that needs to be RAISED! One last thing, How can we fix the 'handle' from sticking after it flushes so the toilet will NOT continue to run unless you pull handle all the way up? It doesn't go all the way up by itself most of the time.

Maybe I found this answer for you and rather that putting it in my words I'm just pasting it for you. toiletology.com/frequent.shtml Question: Why is the water level in my toilet bowl lower than I see in many other toilets? A.

If you have one of the newer 1.6 toilets, many of them are designed to have a very small amount of water left in a bowl after the toilet is flushed. There is nothing you can do about this; the amount of water in these bowls is determined by the shape of the bowl. .

To determine what the water level in your toilet bowl should be, slowly pour several gallons of water into the bowl. The water level will settle at the maximum height that your bowl is designed to hold. .

On the other hand, if the water level in your bowl after flushing is now lower than it usually is then you have a problem that is more likely correctable. . In this case, the first thing to do is to carefully remove the lid from the tank and check that the little tube from the refill valve is directing water into the overflow pipe.

This little tube sometimes gets knocked out of position while someone is making a repair in the tank. The tube should never drop down inside the pipe; it should be clamped to the top edge. This water refills the bowl during the flush.. A low water level in a bowl can also be caused if the toilet is not properly vented, or the vent is clogged.

Poor venting can create a vacuum in the system when a toilet is flushed and too much water will be sucked out of the bowl.. A vent can become clogged with a bird's nest, body of a bird, etc. Also, in extremely cold climates an undersized vent can close up due to frost forming on the inside of the vent walls from warm humid air from washing machines, dishwashers, showers, etc.In addition, a vent can become clogged at the fixture connections with grease, soap scum, etc. A clogged vent requires running a snake down through the vent pipe from the roof. Climbing around on a roof is tricky and best left to professionals who have the proper equipment and experience. HAPPY FLUSHING!

Nope The water bowl level is set by design by the odor trap or S-bend molded into the toilet. Water filling the bowl is equalized with the S-bend. Any water higher than the trap drains away.

Try adding water from a bucket to the bowl. Whatever it settles at is your maximum bowl level.

New toilet or new Cleaner Short of buying a new toilet I do not believe you can raise the bowel level of the water. Each toilet is designed to flush with a certain amount of water and refill to an approximate level. You can change the amount of water that is flushed but not the bowel fill level.

If the cleaning is your only complaint find a stronger delimer and let it sit longer before scrubbing. Note: when intstalling a new floor, be certain the level of the floor stays the same. If not, you will need an extension ring for the toilet to set on or you might get leeks between the wax ring and the toilet base.To get the handle to stop sticking you will need to take the top off and observe the cause of the problem while it flushes.

Often the chain catches on something, or perhaps the rod is too long. The chain can be repositioned if needed or you could either buy a shorter rod or bend it slightly out of the way of the object. However it may be the flapper or the gasket under the flapper; in which case just replace.

These are the most likely causes of the continuous running after a flush.

OK When they reinstall the toilet make sure they adjust the tank bubble so the tank do not fill up to fast this causes the water going into the toilet to shut off once the tank is filled. Sources: I don't know try it.

1 Bowl water levels were set by the manufacter....Many lowered them to meet the low water flush guidelines, and now toilets do not always flush as we remember...there is no way to change the factory...Only thing is care in buying ones with higher levels and called smaller beck units that also then agree with the low water flush guidlines...Hope that aids your understanding!Blessings......Annlee .
