There won't be an apocalypse. This nonsense prediction is based on the Mayan calendar. The mayan's never said the world would end - they built a calendar based on base 20 (the number of fingers and toes you have) on base 13 (the number of major joints you have) and multiplcations of these - 20 x 13 gives you 360 - almost the number of days in a year - the other 5 days they used to fear.

Then they combined these into longer periods that corresponded roughly with the average life expectancy in those days. And then there were longer cycles lasting some many thousands of years (the long tun I think). 2012 is just the end of one of the long tun's (and even that is uncertain - it was worked out by someone who was not a Mayan).

Was happens at the end of a long tun - well it's a cycle so it just starts again. So don't worry - look forward to christmas 2012 - it's a few days after this end of the cycle date.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
