No. Because of the second amendment, and the culture in the u.s. , the citizenry is armed.

There are over 300 million firearms in the u.s. , nearly one for every person in the country. Thus the police regularly encounter armed persons.

I understand that is not true in the UK and that it is rare for a UK officer to encounter a person armed with a gun.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
