In court an assault weapon is anything used against a person. So, even a cookie can be an assault weapon. The left has used the term to make any firearm an assault weapon.
They full well know what a real assault rifle is. They also know of military and police select fire Glock machine pistols. The idea is to keep turning all (but antiques and modern copies of black powder antiques) citizens against firearms.
They are even smart enough to poll the public and garner support for "basic" updates to already in place gun controls. Taking that tacit agreement for "something MUST be done!" into a mandate for far more extreme change than they imply. "Oh, we don't want to take away your right to hunt and sport!"
Since when was the 2nd only meant for sustenance and recreation? We must pass the bill before we knows what's in it! And IF we fail to pass?
Why Obama will save the day by Executive Order. As "something must be done!
An assault weapon is most commonly defined as a SEMI-AUTOMATIC firearm possessing certain features similar to those of military firearms. Adam Lanza used a SEMI-AUTOMATIC Bushmaster rifle in the massacre of children at Sandy Hook elementary school. This gun was semi-automatic, but closely resembled the M16.
So you're wrong there, he had an Assault Weapon (Not Rifle.) A gun does NOT have to be fully automatic to be an assault weapon. So again you are wrong, assault weapons are used in shootings like these. You even provided a second example yourself.
An assault weapon is a legal term, you are wrong in assuming that an assault WEAPON is the same as an assault RIFLE.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
