Is the expense of health care in the US our own fault? Why do we allow the price gouging by drug companies?

No. But they lobbied the legislators and got it written into the Medicare part D laws in 2006, that government medicare officials are not allowed to make the drug companies compete for drug prices, and cannot bargain for drug prices. We are basically not allowed to take advantage of free market supply and demand when it comes to drugs..we must pay the price they ask for.

Thats why Canada can buy the same drugs for one third the price we pay. This is one case where the big Pharma favored regulation…regulation that fixes their prices to whatever they ask for.

Absolutely not; that obviously kills and cripples 1000s of americans, and overtime, millions. That's what the Orwellian-plutocratically named, "free market" does to the 99%, while it grossly enriches the already-grossly enriched 1%.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
