Not unable; unwilling. And that would conjure up either humor or pity. I don't know the Mexican mindset well enough to guess which, tho if I had to guess, I'd say some of both..

1 I very much doubt it. Mexico is by far our largest trading partner and the immigrant labor in places like southern California, migrant farmworkers, brings a lot of American cash back into the Mexican economy. Its in their best interest to stay uninvolved and hope the flow of immigrants across the border continues.

2 Well, I think the Mexicans did initially. But now they have a full-blown war going on in their border states, and some people are suggesting that the Mexican government has actually lost control of the northern part of their country.

3 No, but they're laughing at you for being so paranoid. Get used to it: people laugh at you. Once you get over that concept you may find international affairs easier to take.

If you're so busy saving face that you're lashing out at everybody rather than actually trying to solve problems, they're just laughing harder. There are significant problems on the border to be worked out, but who is laughing at whom is not one of them.

But we offer 'civil rights' among other assortment of niceties to our friends in the south whether they come here illegally or not. Do you really believe that 'Water Stations' would be set up in the Mexican desert if there were a mass exodus of Americans or Canadians that started pouring over their northern border?

Even if humanitarian groups attempted to do something like that, I doubt that the Mexican govt. Would allow it to continue, once discovered. This user has been banned from Askville.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
