Is the Movie "Superbad" one of the top ten comedies ever?

I loved Superbad! Wow that had to be the funniest movie I've seen in a VERY long time. No matter how stupid some people say it is, it's funny.

Not really if you want to judge it against all comedies. But if you were to judge it against road trip comedies, then it is easily in the top 25. What pissed me off about that movie is that a second tier character, McLovin (ansd the two cops by association), basically steals the movie from the two lead characters.

This is OK in a drama, but not in a comedy.

Not of all time. I think the characters are amazing and the dialogue vivid. Swearing doesn't bother me at all when it's part of a person- it wasn't there to shock, it was there to show character.

But this movie was so, so, so, long. So long. Twenty minutes at least, which is a long time in movie world.

Nope. Personally I only found the first 20 minutes or so really funny. It's certainly not a timeless classic.It's only funny because I know some people like that, but in a few years it will be tired and unfunny, much like many of the 90s comedies (Remember the American Pie series?

). The fact is stood up against the true greatest comedies of all time (from the likes of The Pythons, Murray/Akroyd/Ramis, Woody Allen, Marx Bros. , etc. ) Superbad couldn't hold a candle.

No. It relied too heavily on juvenile sex jokes, too much teen-oriented low brow stuff. Like a modern day "Porkies."

I thought it was entertaining but I wouldn't even put it my top 50 comedies. The character "Seth" quickly became annoying. Michael Cera is great though.In fairness I've only seen the movie once.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
