Is there a better time of day to post questions on Mahalo, maybe during peak traffic hours? Are a majority of users on Pacific Time?

A majority of the users is probably on Pacific Time and the peak traffic hours will be for that region. Posting on peak time is better as there are much more people around and the questions will be answered more swiftly. Many prefer to answer questions within the hour as you get double points.

I have only been a member for one month but I do spend alot of time here. In my experience, I have found that there is no time that is any busier than another but I am EST. I have found though, that weekends tend be be much slower than weekdays.

I live on the east coast of the United States and have found the best times to ask a question vary by day and no two are completely alike but I have found some similarities. Judging the front page by interesting votes has proven better than what time the question was asked... if there are a lot of questions with one vote or some with zero votes in the "interesting questions" section.. no matter what time of day this is ... you can be sure it is a good time to ask a question. Interesting votes are the best way to get your questions answered... they = front page time.

~On weekdays the best time has been between 730am EST and 9am EST to get the early east coast traffic and hopefully an interesting team tipping vote or two to keep my question up on the front page, if this works and I get at least one vote many time my question(s) will remain on the front page all day as the rest of the United States wakes up and hopefully answers or adds another vote and answers the question. All day on the front page = a lot of answers. ~ also on weekdays .. somewhere on or around the lunchtime of each timezone in comparison to where I live, so 12 noon EST to 3pm EST because many folks use Mahalo at work and lunchtime is a good time to check back on Mahalo for interesting questions..and they do.

~ also on weekdays 730pm EST and each timezones representative of that time in EST so 730pm to 1030pm EST will be good time as well as dinner is finishing or finished and the evenings activities are being planned or engaged it already. Mahalo is a popular evening activity I have found. +weekends just are a complete crapshoot and the timing is often a shot in the dark.

I try to save good questions for weekdays as the chance of a weekend question just getting passed over for lack of visibility due to lack of traffic is far greater than on the weekdays. I like to ask more entertainment kinds of questions on the weekends. A good overview of the front page and the number of interesting votes on other question will always be a great way to decide what time is a good time to ask an interesting question.

Uniqueness and a standout profile on the question in relation to the other questions up there will be key in getting interesting votes and like I mentioned at the top ..interesting votes = front page time = more and better answers.

I don't think the majority of users is on PST However, you can say the majority of people are from US and Canada Between east coast and west coast there's a time difference of 3 hours. I think there's more if you count the islands. So when it's night in US and Canada there's much less traffic.

Less questions, less answers, less everything. So it's better to post questions during the daytime.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
