Is there a seat riser for computer chairs, mine doesn't go high enough and it is a strain on my neck?

Is there a seat riser for computer chairs, mine doesn't go high enough and it is a strain on my neck. My computer chair only goes so high, my monitor sits high on my desk so I am straining my neck all the time. My company did a revamp a few years ago and all our monitors were lowered. The health care/redecorating team found that if you look slightly lower at your monitor it's better. We had all previously had our monitors higher and were looking up slightly...this was found to cause the strain.

So now our monitors are at eye level or lower. If you can't lower your monitor suggest that you buy a new chair so that this can be achieved. It will help you in the short and long term. We have noticed great improvement from just this simple change.

I think it would be worth it. But if you still want a riser go to staples and see if they sell these.... it even works with wheels You could buy a few pillows but then my feet wouldn't hit the floor. I would try to lower that monitor.

Good Luck!.

1 I don't think they make a "Seat riser" persee, and I don't think a second seat cushion will be a good, long-term solution. But what about a monitor swing arm? These are adjustable monitor mounts so you can move the monitor around a pivot point up, down, forward, & back, etc. This might be the answer for you.

Is this for home or for work in an office? If for work, then I would talk with your HR Dept and tell them you need special equipment to complete your daily work. Here is a link to a monitor mount/swing armamazon.com/Kensington-60106-Desk-Mount-P... .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
