Avast has a low footprint and will pop up when a virus is found + it auto updates its self each day .

Microsoft Security Essentials is one of my favorites. But if you click on the wrong thing, like a fake antivirus checker, it will get through all those defenses. So I believe one virus checker is enough, and just be carefull not to click on any popups or suspicious links in your email.

All those programs will slow down your system. I also agree with previous poster, malwarebytes is great as a supplement.

Don't have more than one anti virus program on your computer, but in addition you can have a anti malware program ,alot of malware can slip through anti virus programs, and malware is nasty stuff,I would down load Malwarebytes and keep it updated run a scan at least once a week,a safe place to download Malwarebytes from is Cnet lick down loads and scroll down you will see it down on the right.

ThreatFire AntiVirus is marketed as a companion anti-virus solution. The homepage for ThreatFire is here:threatfire.com/A review of ThreatFire can be found here:download.cnet.com/ThreatFire-AntiVirus-F... com.

Has anyone ever tried AVG Internet Security for antivirus.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
