Is there an idea much worse than government-subsidized newspapers? Anyone remember Russian-owned Pravda and Isvestia?

Suggestions that the Federal government subsidize newspapers have come from Columbia University's journalism review organization. http://www.cjr.org/feature/the_uncle_sam_solution.php?page=allIn the Russian language, Pravda means truth, and Isvestia translates into news. The Russians said, "There is no truth in Pravda, and no news in Isvestia".

Slippery slope here.........whether your politics are right, central, or left? Anyone watch PBS?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
