Is Verizon FiOS good for my cable television?

I currently have Verizon FiOS and overall, I'm satisfied. The picture quality is great and it's been very reliable. I should qualify this by saying that I don't have an HD TV and frankly, I'm not discerning enough or techie enough to care about quality as much as some folks.

Previously I had Dish Network and it was constantly going off. Light rain, snow, lightening, even wind knocked it out at least once a month. One time it was off for 3 days after a snow, so FiOS seems terrific by comparison.

On the downside, I really feel that the price is too high for what I get, but I am always appalled by the idea of paying a lot for TV reception and I'd never sign up for the kinds of expensive packages some of my friends use, but that's just me. I have a triple bundle, landline, TV and internet. I started out with only my landline in FiOS and regretted it immediately because the sales people didn't make it clear to me that I'd no longer have the advantage of a phone line that wouldn't go off if the power went off.

I'm used to the old fashioned phone lines which carry their own power supply. With FiOS, a battery is installed in your basement and gives you a back up for a short time when the electricity goes off. It's Verizon's policy that once they install FiOS, they won't let you go back to a regular phone line.

That said, after I was stuck with a FiOS landline, it was no further sacrifice to go for the TV and internet.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
