Isn't it hypocritical to support banning smoking in all people's homes and support gay rights?

Liberal hypocrisy knows no limits Also see the abortion support, but ban on the death penalty.

It is not in all peoples homes. It is only a number of cities and applicable to condominiums. The condominiums gave a charter of their own.

This has become popular with some and they vote on it. Air circulation in these buildings have an interconnected vent system that can make your place smell if your adjoining neighbor smokes. This has nothing to do with Gay Rights, that is a matter of Civil Rights and choosing whom you marry.

You have no business wondering what someone else is doing in their homes.

In a sense yes because you're approving of one extremely controlling stance and going against another. If people want to fill their lungs with tar in the comfort of their own homes then more power to them, but they should certainly be encouraged to smoke away from their children. Most smokers I know who have children smoke outside, or at least in a different room.

There seems to be some out there who don't believe the STATE can't do anything it wants to. Well...it can: 1/26/09 New York Times: BELMONT, Calif. — During her 50 years of smoking, Edith Frederickson says, she has lit up in restaurants and bars, airplanes and trains, and indoors and out, all as part of a two-pack-a-day habit that she regrets not a bit.

But as of two weeks ago, Ms. Frederickson can no longer smoke in the one place she loves the most: her home.

Except no one wants to bans smoking in people's homes. Just public places since it is a health hazard to other people. Your rights end when another person is affected.

How does two gay people getting married affect anyone else?

No, because two consenting adults having sex doesn't affect a child like second hand smoke does. However, the government still shouldn't be telling people what they can and can't do in their own homes.

Smoking is bad and kills people, period. Equal rights are good, and the wave of the future, period.

No. Smoking is bad for the air and people's lungs and health issues. Gay rights don't hurt anyone, except people who want to get into your business.

Smoking is banned in all public places in Illinois which is a great law. Its also banned in my home, car, etc.

Child please, they cain't ban smoking in everyone's homes. How is they gonna know if you smoked or not in the privacy of your home?

Yea, Let some dumbass tell me I can't smoke in my own home and see how many rocks come flying their way.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
