It appears DCU5D uses EtherSound technology. Is it possible to connect other EtherSound devices to DCU5D?

A redundant connection can be provided by inserting the AuviTran AVRed-ES between the DCU5D and DSP5D that are cascade-connected (via the RJ-45 connector). No other EtherSound devices can be inserted. You can set up the AVRed-ES with AVS-ESMonitor; however, do not display the AVS-ES control page on AVS-ESMonitor during the operation when devices are cascade-connected.
