You don't attract what you WANT, you attract what you ARE. And you are practicing the Law of Attraction whether you know it or not... always!

The Law of Attraction is not some magic potion that you try for a few days and expect miracles. As the other commenter stated, you attract what you are and those things that are the target of your emotional attention, both consciously and subconsciously. The Law is at work every second of every day, whether or not you are consciously aware of it.

Not sure which book you read on the subject. I would imagine either the "The Law of Attraction" (Abraham- Of the two, The Law of Attraction is definitely the superior book; but both are only introductions to what is an incredibly rich and deep study of how life really works.

I would recommend you visit the web site, "The Quantum Attraction ". This is a huge resource site that features a good number of the major modern authors and teachers on the subject, as well as the early- to mid-20th century physicists who pioneered the theories of quantum physics, on which all of this is based. Many of the resources on the site are free (links to existing resources on the web such as videos, articles, e-books, etc.), but there are also links to all sorts of other materials as well.

I hope this helps. If I can be any further assistance, please feel free to drop me an e-mail directly. This is an area I have become rather passionate about.

All the best to you in your search for understanding!

No, you aren't doing it wrong, lol. The law of attraction is not a process that you can 'try', it's more a way of explaining how and why you get the results that you are getting and how to 'create' a life of your own design.

You don't mention what changes you were trying to make in your life, only that you didn't see any difference. You'll find that getting really clear about the changes you want to make is the first step of the process.

There is nothing complicated about these principles. I incorporate the law of attraction into all of my coaching and workshops, because it is the simplest way to change your life. Be sure to let me know if I can help you in any way!

I assume the book you're referring to is the Secret. While this books is a great introduction to the subject, it really is just a stepping stone. I didn't fully understand how to incorporate the LOA teachings into my life until I read Ask and it is Given by Abraham- They teach 22 processes to help us apply the law.

There is so much information on the LOA out there right now and unfortunately a lot of it is not very good. If the subject sparked something in you, keep researching. There are good teachers out there - find one that you can connect with.

Some say it works and some say it don't flip a coin on it as that may tell you.

Jon: unless you grasp, learn and practice the 'feeling the positive feelings' part of the law of attraction, you will remain stuck. I.e. : in whatever LOA strategies you apply (there are many, and changing it up a bit is good - so it all does not become invisible wallpaper in your life :) , you absolutely must get the hang of having healthy positive feelings about your intended desire, the thing/people/events you want more of... Still confused?

Remember the last time you ventured into something new and desirable, and you just Knew you would be successful? That' s the feeling. I call it the Knowing feeling.

Some call it confidence, belief, faith.... whatever... That is at the basis of effective use of this law. If you think you are focusing on being debt free, for example, yet all your thoughts are about the amount owing on your cards, when they are due, the fear, shame, anger at the situation..... all the affirmations in the world will not help you. You are focused on the current status - what you do not want.

You must learn to focus on more of what you do want. Like: The day you will have financial freedom - balance-free cards, extra cash to give to your favorite charity, take your kids on a cross country road trip - whatever. You need to combine your thoughts with words and actions in sync with your decision to attract more of XYZ.

That is what you will attract more of. My Solution site based on Law of Attraction for women: same concepts apply to men.

You never have to get the Law of Attraction to work, because it is and always will be at work, and for as long as you think, the Law of Attraction aligns you to your thoughts.

If you look at your reality now, one of the most powerful things to ever know, is that you created it.

You created every experience you have ever had, and will have.

You have used this power to bring many things into your experience, and your life is evidence of the existence of the Law of Attraction, and a testament to your creative power.

Yes I know that there are things in your life that you may not want to experience, but take encouragement from the fact, that it is no more difficult to create the perfect life, than the not so perfect life, as it all starts from thought.

You see, the Law of Attraction align to your reality, a match to your most focused thoughts and feelings.

In other words, if you spend time, or give attention to, any experience you are having now, the Law of Attraction aligns events and circumstances to give you a similar experience in the future.

You’ve heard the saying, “the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. ” And nothing could be truer, as the rich tend to give their attention to how much money they have, and the poor tend to give their attention to how much money they don’t have.

And, the Law of Attraction works as powerfully for both rich and poor, recreating the experiences in their realities, that match their most focused thoughts and feelings.

You see, the Law of Attraction will align you to the experience you think about most, and the existence of these unwanted experiences, only go to show you that you have sponsored them through thought.

But this is nothing to get down about, this is fantastic news, it proves that you are a powerful creator, and the only thing you now need to understand is this….

Well if thought and attention about the unwanted parts of your reality, only serve to create more unwanted experiences, surely thoughts and attention to the wanted parts of your reality, can only serve to create more wanted experiences.

Invest in a notebook and write down every experience that you are having, that to you, feels good.

Call it, ‘The Things I Like About My Life’ and spend some time thinking about these things, every morning and every evening.

When more things you like happen, add them to your book.

Do this instead of visualizing, instead of goal setting, instead of anything else you have heard about how to apply the Law of Attraction. Leave all these things until your experience becomes a predominantly wanted experience.

Focus your thoughts and attention on the things that feel good now.

But this alone will not be enough to change your reality, as you will still be experiencing the things that are unwanted, so this is the key.

When you experience something that you regard as unwanted, do not spent any thought on noticing it, on commenting on it, on complaining about it, and on feeling it.

To begin with, this will be difficult for you to do, so as soon as you are aware that you are noticing, commenting, complaining and feeling about something unwanted, start to focus on ‘The Things I Like About My Life’.

This is one of the most powerful ways to change a reality, and in time, and with practise, you will definitely see the evidence of this wonderful creative power you have.

I agree with the previous comment about the book "ask and it is given". That's probably the best book available if you are interested in LOA. I didn't enjoy The Secret, because of all of its pie in the sky promises.

Check out the book "ask and it is given" and other abraham books and study it as much as possible.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
