While we know when IBC was born we do not have any record of who his parent were. Could there be a clue in his name? Dr. Ivy Finch was a doctor who lived near Pomaria in Newberry County, SC; Judge Belton O'Neal a contemporary was the author of The Annals of Newberry and John Brown Carwile was a teacher and Tax Collector in Newberry County all living there at the time IBC was born.
None of these men had any special connection to the Stockman Family, unless possibly one of them was related to the mother of IBC. It has been suggested by several Newberry County genealogical researchers that IBC might be a son of John Henry Stockman (Henry Stockman, Ingle Stockman the immigrant) but no proof of this has been found. Circumstantial evidence supports this theory.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
