Java: Detecting client disconnects from server side?

The best way to detect a disconnection is to have the other end send a heartbeat and have the reader timeout when there is no data.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
