Java enums and generics?

I'm going to guess a bit and say that it is because of covariance issues on the type parameter of the Enum class itself, which is defined as Enum.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
