There are several books about a family of "Borrowers" who lives in the walls of a house. I’m guessing that’s what you mean. I don’t remember them being named Abbot but I haven’t read them in about 30 years.
There's a children's play place in Middletown CT that has all different themed play rooms, and their reading room is a "Borrower's" room. You can sit on a giant hairbrush and everything is scaled so you are the size of a Borrower. Fun even for adults!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
