Looking for a good quality senior cat diet. Yes I know my profile is a dog - but it's a serious question. Thx?

Well, as a long term cat owner and someone who works in a Pet Store, I think Nature's Recipe is one of the best cat (or dog) foods. You didn't say if you cat was male or female, this makes a difference because males can have trouble with urinary trouble. You want to make sure that the cat food is low in ash and has no fish in it.

Feeding him canned food is not a bad idea either. It can reduce the problems.

I serve a couple of brand of food at my house. I feed 90% canned food and 10% dry as a treat. The majority of the canned food has low glycemic index so does not promote obesity or diabetes.

For canned food my cats eat Wellness Turkey or Chicken and Merrick Turducken, Grammy's Pot Pie, Thanksgiving Dinner, Surf and Turf and Cowboy Cookout. For dry food my cats prefer Merrick Before Grains Chicken. I also offer Greenies treats for a snack.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
