Mahalo Convention $$. How much would you be willing to spend to attend?

My family pays between 40 and 80 a person to attend fan conventions, plus they have to pay for their hotel room. That rate for attendance is usually 3-4 days. Here in Pigeon forge hotel rooms off-season are as low as 19 dollars, and there is public transportation and lots to do because it’s a tourist area.

I have been invited to conventions that are just too expensive between 200 and 10000 for a few days and that was without hotel expenses. Just a cocktail hour and boring lectures. And the areas are way too expensive.

Hotel rooms that they consider reasonable 185 a night! 1000 dollars. With foreclosures, evictions, repossessions that kind of money can take care of a whole lot for a long time.

Consider that 1000 dollars will pay a whole lot of bills to pay and in this day and age do you really need to go in the hole for something like this. Make it reasonable. Look at adventure con, dragon con, prices, those for the most part are reasonable and affordable.

For us we have to do odd jobs and work extra to save up for a fan convention and then we scrimp to get there. The photo is the sally valentine! Just to give you an idea of costume contest.

I have never been to Las Vegas so my motives for going to a Mahalo convention if it were to be held there would be twofold, I'd like to meet and mingle with all of you and I would also like to see what Vegas has to offer a guy like me. $2000.00 dollars all inclusive for 4 days in Vegas with all of you fine folks from Mahalo would be a bit pricey but that is the maximum I would be willing to pay at the very top end if this Mahalo convention were to ever come together and really happen. I would rather pay $1500.00 I really do not know how Vegas and conventions work but couldn't we have the convention begin on Saturday and end on Sunday so we could cut down on the overnights?

I again know very little on how these work but could we fly in on Friday, all get together on Saturday and Sunday, and for those in tighter economic circumstances they could fly home Sunday night? Of course that would be entirely optional and anyone wishing to extend the Mahalo party could do as they wish. I make my own days and hours so any weekend or weekday would be just fine for me.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
