Bachelor of Medicine takes 5 years to complete at university. So 18-23. You can walk away with that if you want.
It will certainly open doors, but you won't be a doctor. After that you need to spend two years working in a hospital as a junior doctor. These are called your foundation years.
(FY1 + FY2). After completing FY1 - you can sign the British medical register and officially call yourself a doctor. But in order to progess further - you need to complete year 2.
So that would take you from 23 to 25. Then depending on which avenue you want to take - you'll spend *at least* 5 years (probably a fair bit more) working yourself up to consultant level.
It is five to seven years long (it depends on whether you you an intercollegiate year and a few other factors), and NO, you do not have to become a doctor afterwards.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
