Easy three possibilities: (1) If they don't understand you, you just need to SHOUT LOUDER in English. (2) Using a mischevious translation guidebook, where they translate each phrase into "Kiss my pimply bottom". (3) Look the wrong way while crossing the street.

This is easy. The most dangerous thing I know of that you can do when visiting another country is to try to sneak narcotics into the country. Depending upon which nation we are talking about, you could kiss your future or even your life good bye.
Of course, if you are traveling to a country with a war zone or with an area with active militants, you will also be taking serious risks by just traveling in those regions. But, for normal travel, I think messing with drugs is the surest way to ruin your and your family's lives...and I'm not even talking about the side effects of using drugs. I can still remember the bag searches with dogs and soldiers armed with automatic weapons in a couple countries. You don't want to do anything stupid.

, Carrying visible designation of your religion in a nation where your coreligionists are persecuted Drinking tap water in a country where you need to drink only bottled water or boiled water Eating uncooked fresh fruit or vegetables with or without peeling off the skin Carrying all of your valuables in one place. This applies to cash as well as documents Carrying your wallet in your back pants pocket Not clutching your purse in a safe manner when you are traveling to certain destinations. Velcro is a great deterrent.
A deft pickpocket may open your purse; but, you will hear it. Leaving valuables unsecured in your hotel room etc. I hope this helps... Sources: Former international road warrior .

I'll say... Drive a car anywhere because the rules of the road are so different, especially the road signs. Even if you do understand the language there are other drivers who don't or even obey them (Italy, France).
