Mormons, what do you think of Mark Twain's critique of your book?

Quite accurate. Traditional Catholics of Trent at traditionalmass.org.

The problem was, he was assessing it based on American literature. And, it is a fact that it is poorly written under those requirements. But, give it to a person who assesses it based on Hebrew literature and you get an entirely different opinion.

The Book of Mormon was written based on the Hebrew life style. The 'and it came to pass' that Twain didn't like, was very common in the time frame that the Book of Mormon was written. In fact, Joseph Smith left out a lot of that phrase to make the book more palatable to the modern reader.

You must examine it under the Hebrew to see it for what it is.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
