MVC2 URL.Action with IIS application root insists on including the subdirectory?

This is not a route issue or an IIS issue. Internally, Url. Action and Html.

ActionLink try to resolve to the application root directory, then append the controller and action to it. IE: {applicationroot}/{controller}/{action} You have set /testapplication as an application folder in GoDaddy. That means that the when Url.

Action or Html. ActionLink try to get the application root directory it will return this: http://www.testurl.com/testapplication Then it will append the controller and you get this: http://www.testurl.com/testapplication/home Then it will append the action and you get the urls you keep seeing in the html source: http://www.testurl.com/testapplication/home/index I am not aware of anyway to change it other than getting the MVC2 source and changing it and recompiling the DLLs for your own use.

Is it possible to overwrite or overload the URL. Action method in some way? I know you can add additional helpers, but I wonder if its possible to write a custom implementation of URL.action... – user548084 Mar 21 at 22:43 Yes, you could create your own extension method that does what you want – thorkia Mar 22 at 12:09.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
