First thing to do is download the free scanner from http://malwarebytes.org and run the full scan. Your machine may be infected with spyware and sending out all your personal information to the originator, or could actually be sending all these messages. Then go into the account and change your password.

It needs to be at least 8 characters long, and contain a mix of upper case letters, lower case letters and numbers. None of it must relate to you, family, friends, pets, addresses or phone numbers. Or any of the other details you give away to the world on social networking sites or in person.

Most people have actually told hackers their password by giving too much personal information and answering their questions. You then need to change your security questions and answers. Same rules apply, and write down all your passwords, and these answers and hide them somewhere nobody else will see them.

You MAY need them later. Then quickly email all your contacts and tell them if was a fraud. 90 % of hacking is done by friends.

Email them all back saying it was spam then change your password on the account.
