Personally, black and yellow say "warning tape" to me. Keep in mind that black tends to swallow light, which might work for a vanity, focusing attention on the face in the mirror. Thus, ANY other items should be yellow or lighter to maintain light levels in the room so you aren't making like Batman living in a cave.

My personal opinion... black is very hard to keep clean, because every drop of water shows. It is beautiful though. So, if you have a maid to keep it cleaned daily, go for the black!.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
