My cat started throwing up clear liquid on Wed night and now it's Sunday. She's not eating or drinking. I took her to the vet on Friday and she had a fluid shot and blood work.

Nothing was abnormal. The vet suspected an obstruction in her intestine, possibly from swallowing string or yarn. Today her vomit is a dark green color.

I am considering euthanasia because I hate to have her suffer, but I want to make sure there is no chance of recovery. I don't have the funds to do more diagnostics or surgery. Thank you for responding. I took her to the vet this am to be euthanized as I could not continue to watch her suffer. He did one last exam and discovered that string was wrapped around her tongue, which explains why she kept going to the water bowl but not drinking.

I don't know why he didn't see this when I took her in on Friday morning. He was able to get it unwrapped from her tongue and pulled out a foot of thread. He gave her a shot to rehydrate her, and we are hoping and praying that she will recover.

Sounds like bile, could be a liver infection, check her into a good hospital and they may save her life, I had a cat that vomited green bile, they put her on fluids and antibiotics , she pulled through and live for many more years, but of course I cant say for sure this would work for your cat, but checking her into a hospital instead of keeping her home may give her a chance to live past this , if its an obstruction your vet should have taken x rays, I know this may not be something you can afford, but if you, can consider it- good luck and a good thought to you and kitty cat.
