It is mold. Leaving laundry in the wash machine too long when it is wet may make mold inside it. I used CLR... in the machine without clothes in it and put it through the wash cycle as if it was washing clothes. It got the smell out.

I was thrilled it worked.

Perhaps you're using... more soap than your particular machine really needs. If you get too much soap, it doesn't rinse out entirely, and the build-up will cause odors. I recommend cutting down on the soap some, perhaps adding a half-cup or so of white vinegar to your rinse water, and making sure, once you remove the wash, you leave the washer open to air out thoroughly.

You might also want to run a small, hot load through the washer with a cup of bleach in it, and no clothes, to clean and do-odorize the machine before you run any more clothes in it. Then once it's drained, open the lid and let it dry completely. Sources: Practical experience with laundry over decades... If the answer is yes, I just heard that some models start growing mould under the front door seal, and that there's really no way to stop it. I heard that there is a class-action suit against Sears for this right now..

You might try this......... Fill you wsher with very hot water, add 2 gallons vinegar, and let the agitator run for 8-10 minutes. Turn off the washer and let the solution stand overnight. In the morning, empty the basin and run your washer through a complete cycle.

They don't specify which type vinegar to use, but I assume they mean white vinegar. I hope you can get the problem solved. Good luck.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
