You can transfer the Kindle, yes. But not the books.

Not sure your aware of this or not, but this site (Askville. Com) is NOT Customer Service for Amazon. Com (or any other site for that matter).

Askville is strictly a community forum site, that happens to be owned/operated by Amazon.com. Also, what "MrItty" has said is 100% true ownership of Kindle books purchased from Amazon. Com is NOT transferrable between different accounts.

But what you may be able to do, is if the books were purchased within the last 7days (30days? ); you can have your wife call Kindle support and tell them of the problem, and ask to have the books returned/refunded from her account, so that you can buy them/download them on your account. Kindle does have a 7 day "trial" period for book purchases; where they will allow you the ability to call and ask for a refund when there is a problem with the book order.

And if your wife tells a said enough story, she might also get the operator to accept back the books if they were purchased in the last 30days; but she will have to be very convincing, and may have to ask for a supervisor for an exception to the "rule". I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
