MySQL/PHP update query with dates not updating?

I see some red-flags here. You are getting the date from a form and inputing it into MySQL without any form of validation - that could lead to SQL-injections .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
