Need an English-Chinese electronic dictionary/translator which accepts PinYin input and produces PinYin output?

Need an English-Chinese electronic dictionary/translator which accepts PinYin input and produces PinYin output. Am looking for a translator which will allow me to enter English words and get a Chinese translation in PinYin. Also need it to accept PinYin input and produce and English translation.

Trouble is I have read that many units force the user to enter PART of the Chinese word at a time - ie must enter Lao and then Shir rather than Laoshir (teacher. That renders the dictionary useless. Any recomendations under $275 would be MOST appreciated!
