OK, don't laugh, this is a serious question: Do middle age men have hot flashes?

Consulting with a health provider, they advised a very expensive blue pill. I now only have the hot flashes two or three times a month. Seriously.

Men who experience problems in their middle years with andropause should take care to exercise, eat healthy foods, and relax; they should then be up and ready to go when positive situations present themselves.

I do not think men get physical symptoms of menopause but I think they do get it in one form or another, we simply call it a mid-life crisis. Yes, all the things mentioned above in previous answers occur however the typical male bravado starts up and we compensate wildly, often to extremes. I can't wait until my midlife crisis kicks in...apparently I am given a complimentary Harley and 18 yr old girlfriend ~ Sparhawke.

I think that reduced levels of testosterone can cause everything from lowered libido to fatigue, just like menopause does. Still, male menopause is an uncommon condition and affects only a small minority, I think about 3% of men actually experience physical symptoms from less testosterone levels. It is a natural part of aging.

I am not there yet lol.

I think there is such thing as male menopause. We just call it a midlife crisis. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't involve hot flashes, unless we set ourselves on fire (which happens more than you might think).

Men between 40 and 60 do experience Climacteric- an equivalent to female menopause, but I don't think it causes hot flashes. More common symptoms would be depression, mood swings, fatigue, weight gain, and reduced sex drive.

I think the answer is yes. Not sure of any scientific results, only what I have seen and heard from the men in my life.

Hot flushes can occur in men when their levels of testosterone are low. They can also occur if a man is receiving treatment for prostate cancer. At least they may have some sympathy with their women-folk if they're suffering the same symptoms!

Not yet I haven't. Am I supposed to? Now you have me worried.LOL.

I can honestly say that at near sixty, the only hot flashes that I have experienced have been as a result of my wife's hot flashes.

Indeed they do. There is male menopause. Decreased libido, fatigue and poor body temperature regulation are all part and parcel. It is not anywhere near as extreme as female menopause but it exists.

A few years back, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry and I can tell you that this is absolutely real. It happens under certain conditions, but happens often enough that certain Pharmaceutical companies wanted to create treatment for it. Hope this helps.

Yes they do, I had them when I was in my forties.Leo.

Male menopause, also called andropause, occurs in some men but not all. It is brought on by a drop in testosterone levels and has many of the same symptoms of female menopause including hot flashes as well as night sweats, aching muscles and joints, and general fatigue. There may also be emotional symptoms like moodiness and irritability, general depression, and a lack of motivation.

My husband, who is about to turn 50, gets them. I tease him that they are in sympathy for me and my hot flashes, but I actually do believe they are genuine. If he gets them for a medical reason I have no idea, I just know they happen.

He doesn't get the night sweats though.

Its name is Andropause like your menopause.

Wildris,Yes they do. Why? My father has been through it and my fathers father has been through it and so forth. So middle aged men getting hot flashes is a big yes.

Men go through a lot of the same things that women do, including menopause. Menopause encompasses hot flashes as one of the many side effects, so to answer your question: Most definitely.

Yes, they do. It doesn't necessarily be hot flashes.

As I'm not a native speaker of English,I wished to read a simple definition or description of the word menopause and hot flashes. It will be easier then to share global experiences.

Men go through a period similar to menopause when their hormone levels are out of whack as they are being reduced. I am not certain if they experience hot flashes or not. If they do and express a concern to their physician, they more than likely are not labeled "hot flashes" by the man or his physician.

Well, I donĀ“t laugh. But what is "middle age" meaning? If I look at animals, their lifespan is 7 times longer than they need to grow up.

We say humans were the highest developed beeings on earth and it takes us 20 years to grow up. This would mean, we normally could grow 140 years. So when is the "middle age"?

Well, I have to read up on this to give a good answer. I can tell you there is sometimes a bitter war between the men and women over the thermostat at work - 2 females & 2 males. Both males over 50, me included, seek the A/C , , ,now that I have food for thought I shall get ready for work and seek to discover.

Ofcourse! Middle age is the youngest age of old people?

I am 60 years old and have never had anything approaching a hot flush. But since I wouldn't know one if it bit me, I guess I can't say with complete certainty that I haven't. I will let you know if I ever have one!

My answer is yes. It really happen in middle life.

NoBut this may be seen accidentaly or phychological symptom. Hot flushes commonly seen in females as premenupausal symptoms. In men this as such not seen.

Men till death not getting lack of testestorone. But after diseased/deformity/accident and he has till last the sex drive and if healthy sex power too.

Men do have hot flashes ,but not as bad as a womens it is due to hormonal changes. Other causes maybe from and increased amount of vitamins. Men have them at odd time like women, but they feel worst as men are suppose to be strong and something like this is silly. It's not when they come you need to get cooled off asap.

The hot flashes men have don't crep up the body as often as women ,but they will make you very uncomfortablely warm and at time feel a little dizzy or confused. If they come to often make a note of times and strenght and go to your doctor you may have other problems bruing. Don't worry guys you won't go bobbs or loose all your hair.

Thank you for this question..........

Do you have idea abut the mens hot flashes?No....So , Listen! Prohibition is never old man ..

Amazingly better emotions due to there experances.

Yes, it is the best resulting time here in my country. Hot. .. I am 37.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
