Paul Ryan's favorite band is Rage Against the Machine. How do you think the band would feel about that?

I love Rage Against the Machine. Even though I lean "right.

Most people in entertainment are liberal. Its not by accident either. It goes all the way back to Marx and Engels who realized a liberal media was critical to brainwashing the public.

Its the reason Ronald Reagan went into politics. He was an actor and felt the people in hollywood were threatening him to become liberal. He was actually in fear for his life.

So, he went into politics to change that. People in the media are prime targets. They aren't very bright, they're usually narcissistic (and thus don't really care about politics) , they're concerned with their public image and liberalism is easier to sell and they have lots of media exposure to profess their extremist views.

Its the same reason the scientologists target people like Tom Cruise. If conservatives ignored liberal media they wouldn't see a whole lot of media. The difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives are smart enough to see it for what it is and not get brainwashed by it.

Paul Ryan is the first true gen-X candidate. It doesn't surprise me that he listens to gen-x music. I'm the same generation and political beliefs and do the same.

And really, RATM are conservatives, they just haven't realized it. Look at their lyrics. They're anti-establishment and liberalism is the establishment and has been for 50 years.

They'll come around in a few years like John Lennon did. http://www.torontosun.com/2011/06/28/len...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
