Police Intimidation. What can I do?

You can certainly contact the police department and make your complaint. Unlike a criminal offense, there's no statute of limitations regarding making a complaint about an employee, and that's really what you're doing. Keep in mind, though, that the department may take the delay in making your complaint into consideration when determining how to proceed.

The fact that there is now a civil liability issue involved is probably also going to be considered. You can get a copy of the police report at any time. Contact the records division at the police department and ask for the procedure to request a copy - some departments charge a fee for a photocopy, some provide a copy free to involved parties.

Accident reports are considered public records in most states, available to anyone who asks, and are certainly available to the people involved. (For what it's worth, the police department probably did not volunteer a copy to the other party. Either she or her insurance company would have had to request it.) Without knowing details of the accident, I won't speculate as to who was at fault, although that fact that your son was hit from behind doesn't necessarily make the other party at fault.

Before you do anything else, including hiring an attorney, get a copy of the police report and see what it says.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
