Question about the French Open tennis tournament?

Question about the French Open tennis tournament. The winner of the French Open Tennis Tournament ( men and women) gets a huge cup. The "loser" gets a plate.

BUT: a third, small cup is also carried up on stage, and is left on the table. What is this cup for? And what is done with it after the ceremony?

Any ideas? Asked by elizabeth870 43 months ago Similar questions: Question French Open tennis tournament Sports & Recreation.

That smaller trophy actually goes to second place. Men's Singles, winner of the "Coupe des Mousquetaires" Women's Singles, winner of the "Coupe Suzanne Lenglen" Men's Doubles, winners of the "Coupe Jacques Brugnon" Women's Doubles, winners of the "Coupe Simone Mathieu" Mixed Doubles, winners of the "Coupe Marcel Bernard"These are the names of the trophies that no one gets to keep, no one keeps the plate either. The plate gets the winners name engraved on it and stays with the trophies at the French open.

The winner and the Runner up get silver duplicates of the two trophies (the big one and little one) with their names engraved on them. I guess they hold up the plate because it looks a whole lot better than a little trophy. Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Open .

I'd like the option of being able to add a question to my "Watchlist" without moving to the "Open Question" screen.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
