Yankee history... I could be wrong on this but I believe the manager was Ralph Houk when Steinbrenner first acquired the team. Houk left after the 1973 season...Steinbrenner then tried to hire Dick Williams who had just resigned from the World Series winning Oakland As but ran into legal problem because Williams was still under contract with the As. Steinbrenner then hired Bill Virdon.

Joe Torre was the 20th Yankee manager during Steinbrenners ownership and the longest at 12 years. I have to admit that when it cme to spelling his last name I had to look it up. It was Houk, Ralph Houk. I knew who it was but I looked up the spelling and it’s a good thing because I thought that it was spelled Houck.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
