Realistically, what are Donald Trump's chances of winning the republican nomination and ultimately the presidency?

While I very much like his position on things and the refreshing honesty behind his points, I don't think that his personality would suit the office well. The current President is an "It's my way or the highway" sort and that has been a disaster. We need someone who is willing to listen to the people, not dismiss them as Obama has and I believe Trump would.

So, yes, he has a shot, but I hope that he doesn't while I hope we maintain his voice in the public arena.

They would permanently split the party. So from a practical point of view, no. If he goes in with the most delegates, I'd assume Cruz and him will make a deal and Cruz will go VP in return for having his delegates vote Trump.

No. But conservative are very much about "follow the leader". So if Rush, O'Reilly, Beck et al start bashing Trump, it will have an impact as they all have considerable influence over conservative voters.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
