Republicans held unemployment benefits hostage until Obama extended Bush tax cuts the FIRST time. THEN...?

I would have to guess that the republicans love money more than they hate unemployment. Doesn't solve anything. I'm hoping people eventually get it, or maybe at least try harder.

Well, I'll tell you what: this is what the majority of Americans want - for once, both parties give and little and gave a little. Sure, it's not what everyone wanted but they worked together and got something done. I know I'll get thumbs down from both sides - from conservatives who want to see the president weakened no matter what and from liberals who don't want to compromise on any issue.

But I speak for the majority - let's return to a time when government works and Americans work together.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
