Saturday`s Arlington Million Stakes/What are your Selections and Comments?

Win- 4 - Hansen - The quick pace may compromise Hansen, however, I can't help but pick him here, his class and polytrack record has been great, going 2-0 last year with 2 wins at nearby Turfway Park. Stepped up in class after average field in Gotham win last time out. Still one of my Derby favorites.

Call me loyal..lol. Place -6 Dullahan - Speed, speed, speed in this race, more than we have seen any of the Derby preps. Dullahan has great turn of foot, likes distance, and has great jockey in Desormeaux.

He should do well. Show -10- Howe Great - Trainer Motion has indicated that this colt will not be on the lead and is hoping to be sitting just off and have first run at Hansen. Very similar running style of Hansen and is improving with each race and works.

Should be interesting to watch. Alternate-9- Holy Candy in show if scratch. Thx Blue Jay, enjoy the race :) EDIT: Blue Jay, if you want to put in details, Past Performances can be dowloaded from this link for both races- http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/v...

Track bias: It’s still early in the meet and the track appears to be playing fair. Eight of the thirteen entrants like to be on or pressing the pace. That’s a lot of speed.

Two colts, HOWE GREAT and HERO OF ORDER have been successful at 1 1/8 miles, while DULLAHAN was second and closing at the distance. The question on everybody’s mind is whether HANSEN will carry his speed. He’s already assured a post in the Kentucky Derby and they won't want to give him a real hard race.

His low odds don’t make him enticing and there are others in here that should relish the extra real estate and be gunning for Derby Dollars. GUNG HO might be one to consider for the exotics. He’s making his second start off of a layoff and his late speed figures fit.

#10 HOWE GREAT - 1st #6 DULLAHAN - 2nd #4 HANSEN - 3rd #3 PROSPECTIVE – 4th/alternate Read about all the contestants here: http://ironmaidensthoroughbreds.blogspot...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
