I have known people personally who have had a problem with cutting their wrists. However, they seem to conveniently not go quite deep enough to do any harm and not quite in the exact perfect location to hit anything important. Simply cutting your skin will result in bleeding but it isn't the bleeding one would associate with slashing ones wrists.
The veins may be close to the surface but what the suicidal individual is looking for is the artery. Arteries will bleed someone out, veins will simply bleed and ultimately clot shut. I believe, by design, that arteries are deeper than veins for that reason.
The best advice I could give you is that you are in control of whether you cut your self or not. Step up and tell yourself you are not going to do it and simply don't. Don't waste time thinking about where and how deep; only those who are "DEAD" serious about harming themselves actually find the correct depth and location.
You can cut a main artery. And bleed to death. You need medical help if the blood shoots out like a fountain, or if it does not stop.
It's not healthy! Find a better habit that isn't life threatening. Like tearing stuff up, burning stuff, (outside.) but go outside smell the roses!
Haha. If you get the urge to cut, then Just fight it, and say NO:) good luck(.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
