Senator Ted Kennedy has passed away. What effect, if any, will this have on American politics?

In the short term, it's one less Democrat in the Senate (though since Kennedy is from Massachusetts, he will likely be replaced by another). It's always difficult to tell if someone was influential enough to have a "martyr" effect on their party, and if anybody was, it was Kennedy. The name alone should have an influence.

Unfortunately, American politics in the modern era is quite sporadic. It is likely to have a short-term effect as people flock to his causes, but the 24/7 news cycle will soon lose interest in him, and the American people will once again become obsessed with the death of Michael Jackson.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
