Should I report my brother-in-law to the District Attorney?

If fraud is suspected, your husband must act now, before damage is done, to stop his brother from committing identity theft. If he waits despite this knowledge, he deserves whatever he gets, and as his wife, you should push him to take care of the matter. You have a stake in it too.

All you need to do is go to the Social Security Administration and have your husband request a new SSN. They will ask for a reason, and your husband can show his credit report and say that he suspects identity theft, or he can outright say his brother in law is using his SSN. Either way, it should be taken care of.

You'll also have to contact the IRS and probably swear out an affidavit to the effect that your husband did not work those two jobs. You don't want those guys after you.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
