Irfan Pathan could have been picked ,but Ishant should'nt have been surely in the side. Irfan Pathan ,though has lost his pace,we just saw his consistent batting in the IPL 3 ,and he certainly can bowl to an extent. Now if you compare Ravindra Jadeja who has been in the side for no reason everytime ,with Irfan, the latter will surely be a better option.
Dropping him for every series is not a wise decision, whereas Ishant has gone from bad to worse and needs time to get back to his normal. So taking him into the side will only add to pressure and things then become difficult. But ,what so ever the selection committee under Krish Srikanth seems to take wrong decisions most of the time. Players are selected in one series and then they're dropped the next series and new players come in and go out (Examples:Rohit Sharma,Piyush Chawla,Pragyan Ojha) And many talented guys like Robin Uthappa,Manish Pandey are still being denied chances, and the same formless players are in the side..Something has to ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
