Should Mahaloans who have a certain level of belt and B/As have open access to edit How-To Pages?

I think you are on the right track @nancyke11y and that sort of system is what we used to have when Mahalo offered us the ability to write and manage pages. At one time once a Mahaloian reached the brown and black belt levels they were able to edit pages that were not their own. That is why the belt tests were there at the beginning because with the new higher belt level came new editing privileges.

I remember the day I became black belt and with that new belt came the ability to edit 99% of the pages on Mahalo.com. I took this privilege seriously and would only edit a page that was not mine in extreme circumstances like the one you have provided as an example above. That page _needs_ to be fixed right now.So what you are asking for here is a return to the old system of allowing Mahaloinas of a certain predetermined level to edit search engine result pages here on Mahalo.com.

I'd agree with you and say that some users once they have proven they can be trusted with the responsibility and be trusted to make only non-biased and 100% correct actual factual edits that those select tested Mahaloinas should be granted this privilege and ability to edit pages. It would have a fundamental change now to go back in time and bring back the actual meaning of the belt tests but I have read Jason say that Mahalo Belts are being phased out and a replacement reward system is being developed to usurp the Mahalo belts. I have read this new system of rewards with be similar to what you bring up and trusted and tested Mahaloians will earn some editing privileges as they progress.

We will just have to wait and see what this new system brings. Edit - the source (3) - http://bit.ly/b1jw8O - that the writer of that page lists as the source for the "Blumenthal was first elected to the Senate in 1990." line in the guide note does not mention in one place anything about the information attached to it. That is a bad source for incorrect information.

Really bad gaff there or it might just be a typo. Ya, let's call it a typo.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
