Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol! Will you miss him? Will you watch The X Factor, the show he's moving to?

Yes, I would miss him a lot. I don’t think I’ll ever watch American Idol without him, although if Ellen stays, I might be persuaded to watch one or two episodes. American Idol might not survive when he's gone.

Either people hate or love him, but he made the show go round. American Idol would be completely dull without Simon’s cutting remarks and quick wit. I like his honesty and he is usually spot on.

I like him better in older seasons when he didn’t try to play nice. Entertainment is not a nice business, and if you can’t handle a scathing but honest remark from Simon Cowell, you obviously are not made for showbiz. It is a truly cutthroat business, literally and figuratively.

If you pay attention, those who took Simon’s advice or insult and correct themselves would be successful while those whose egos were too easily bruised are usually terrible themselves.

I've watched American Idol on and off since season two, but I'm afraid this might be my last season. Simply put, the show isn't the same without Simon. Although in recent seasons he's gotten less critical and more agenda-pushing (there is no way that either he or the producers didn't go in there with the express purpose of wanting talentless hack Danny Gokey to do well), he's still the voice of reason more often than not.

They can bring someone else to attempt to "tell it like it is," true, but it'll just seem like a cheap stunt. And I'm not against new judges. I'm one of the few people on the Internet, it seems, who's a huge Kara fan.

Simon, however, has been the most iconic in relation to the show. I'm not sure there's anyone else who'd have that same sort of clout.

Since the originals are all leaving I guess I will be too. The personalities were great the first few years and now that it is dwindling down I can't see how it will be as entertaining as it was.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
