SM Entertainment Audition tips/advice?

1. Is it really 80% looks for SM? I personally don't think it's that much, I think it's around 65-70% (its just my own opinion) 2.

If it is based on looks could I make it? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2... I can't open the page so I can't judge, sorry... 3. Can audition singing in English?

Of course! Sing in languages you're comfortable with. 4.

How much Korean should I learn ahead of time? Just learn the basics, and can at least have a conversation with a Korean. But it doesn't matter because you don't have to know Korean to audition since they'll teach you anyways.

5. Where can I get the application to mail my audition tape? I can't find it on the site : There's no really an application form.

You just send them an email containing you're audition video, and some info about you (name, age, race, talents, hobbies, school, what languages you know...). You can send it to: [email protected] 6. If I make it do I have to give up my Us citizenship?

You don't have to give it up. 7. I know that they say you don't have to be asian to audition but I've only seen Asians pass... I'm japanese, korean, mongolian, Irish, &German... Is that Asain enough?

Well, I think it's more about your looks, if you look more like an Asian, then of course it's better. 8. I'm 16 going 17 at the end of the year, am I too old?

Maybe a little, but it's still pretty young, go for it ^.

1. Not sure if it's exactly 80% looks, but appearance is very important to SM. 2.

That photo is from a private album and is not viewable to posters here. 3. Yes.

4. As much as you want. You'll learn Korean when you're a trainee, but obviously the more you know now the less you have to learn then.

5. No clue. 6.

No you don't. 7. Yes, it's "Asian enough."

It matters less how Asian your genes are and more how Asian your looks are (I'm assuming you know they're looking for East Asians). 8. No.

9. Make sure this is what you want. Do more research.

Finish high school first, honestly. If you don't make it in Korea, then what career would you have to fall back on? Please be realistic and do more research before making a decision like this.

If you went there to train, you won't even know when (or if) you'll debut, and you won't know how long the fame will last.

Well you have a very high chance of getting into an entertainment company since you seem to be a great dancer. HOWEVER, you really lack the KEY thing which is Asianess x). Like the korean music industry accepts foreigners on RARE occasians... for example: 2Pm Nickhun and U-kiss Alexander.

Even these guys had some like asian blood. Also, it would be so soso awkward if you perform on music bank, inkigayo and such surrounded by korean people. You POSSIBLY could be accepted as a backup dancer and maybe it work you way up?

I'm sorry but unless the kpop industry completely changes you are at a disadvantage.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
