So, I'm sitting here on askville and watching tv, when I see a guy I went to school with in a national commercial. He's an actor and all, but this is the second national commercial I've seen him on in the last 6 weeks or so. Has this ever happened to you?

Minding your own business and there's somebody you know on a show or in a commercial? Yes... ...Ron O’Neal, who I knew quite well, back when he was known as "Ronnie O'Neal", in Cleveland. When I first saw him on TV I was watching the movie "Original Gangstas", in which he played "Bubba". I knew he had gone into acting, because I had seen him in several productions at Cleveland's Karamu House.

However, until I saw him on "Original Gangstas" I had no idea how far his acting had taken him. In the event that you don't recognize the name, he is best known as "Youngblood Priest" in "Superfly". You can find out more about him at: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0641938/ He passed away from pancreatic cancer on January 14, 2004.

He was a terrific person, and is truly missed by many... Sources: Personal experience and imdb.com .

Yep! There was this guy who was 1 year older then me and a grade above me in high school and kind of odd. He had a crush on me since I had started the 9th grade and was always asking me out.

Problem was I had a thing for his best friend lol. He used to work for a radio station after school each day as the night DJ and I would work at that radio station from time to time doing volunteer work answering phones during charity events. Anyway...when I graduated 8 years ago I moved got married and moved away to another state for a few years.

Then when we moved back, my husband and I went back to that same city we went to high school in to see some of his family who still lived there, and right after we had checked into our hotel room, I turned on the TV and I could hear his voice, doing the voice for a furniture store commercial. Turns out he does a lot of voices for the local business there in the city we lived in lol.

Picture it I am in the movies watching "The Best Man". We are at the part in the movie where everyone is leaving the rehersal dinner and they are on their way to the batchelor party. I look, I squint and then I open my eyes REAL wide because I can't believe what I am seeing.

Is that my ex on the big screen. Naw, coludn't be. 5 minutes later there he is again.

This time at the party. He was an extra that the camera man must have loved. It still throws me for a loop whenever I see the movie.

Try being a graduate of South Salem High School... And seeing John Heder's face everywhere. He's two years older than me and I remember him from the hallways, seeing his face around...now not only did he explode with Napoleon Dynamite but he's been in like three other major movies. Plus all the weird promotional things.

I picked up a pen the other day that had his face on it. And before anyone asks...no, he wasn't like Napoleon in high school. He did have an interesting dress sense, though.

I remember him and his friends wearing polyester 1970s style suits one day. Oh, and I have a friend--actually my senior prom date--who was a walk on in several WB shows, including The OC and What I Like About You. I think this more than qualifies me to answer the question.

Which television commercial said, when you've got your health, you've got just about everything.

Who is the old guy in new mcdonalds nuggets commercial.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
